Summary: this is an excellent example of an early Lile model 12. This knife has a 4-3/4" blade, brass guard, and black micarta handle slabs with brass rivets. Script signed "Hand Made by James B. Lile", full tang construction with a non-tapering tang. The knife is in excellent+++ or better condition with nothing but tarnish on the brass guard and rivets, absolutely no sign of past use with a blade that looks pretty much perfect. Photos don't lie, this is an awesome knife.

The knife is paired to the original belt sheath with "12" written on the back. The knife was stored (briefly) in the sheath at some point in the past, a bit of darkness at the throat and on the keeper strap. Overall excellent or better condition with nothing but a few scuffs / handling marks on both sides.

8 photos for review – as shown, a new black canvas carry case is included. This is an excellent model perfect for hunting / heavy duty use , another Lile perfect for field use. This is a very early Model 12, not many of these come up for sale and especially not in this condition! Great knife for collection / investment purposes -- thanks and good luck.
