Summary: a rare little bird, I think it's a version of the model 23 but I'm not certain. This knife has a 4-1/2" tool steel blade, reduced brass guard (neat!), and light colored stag handle. Very early script signature on the blade, "James B. Lile". The knife is in excellent / unused condition, there's a bit of clouding on the blade... tool steel will do that after 45+ years!

I've never had a sheath for the knife, was from the collection of the late Tom Clinton and never came with one. I've paired it with a new Regular 7 pouch sheath made by Vaughn Neeley, fit is excellent and the sheath quality is second to none.

Bonus: 1st Edition (unused) Red / White / Blue Lile Catalog

10 photos for review – as shown, a new black canvas carry case is included. This is a great price on an early stag handled script signed Lile knife, one you can either use daily or tuck away for collection purposes. Very few of Jimmy's knives have the reduced guards, even better to find one with this very early "James B. Lile" script signature. Priced to sell – thanks and good luck.
