Summary: another early, unused Lile Regular 7 with script signature and canvas micarta scales. An early 1970's knife (if not very late 1960's) -- the blade is script signed "Hand Made by James B. Lile". The overall length of the knife is 8-5/8". The 4" blade with original edge is pretty much perfect, the canvas micarta scales are old school and drilled for a lanyard. The knife is in excellent+++ or better condition, I wiped away the patina on the brass hardware but any light wipe marks will quickly buff away if so desired.
The ambidextrous pouch sheath with the knife accompanied the knife when I bought it and is presumably original to the knife. Knife sheath fit is perfect, the knife does not "jiggle" around when fully inserted in to the sheath. Rare to find one of these original Lile sheaths with full basket weave tooling, just the sheath alone is probably worth a couple of hundred dollars.
8 photos for review -- as shown, a new black canvas carry case is included. If you're looking for a very early, unused, near mint condition Lile Reg 7 and original sheath for your collection.... well, I have several! Take you're pick – you just can't go wrong with any of these early Lile knives I have for sale on my website.
Thanks and good luck.
