Summary: a great knife for the Lile collector who might be looking for something unusual / unique. Jimmy's interframe Regular 7's aren't too common, even more uncommon with the early script signed blade. A pre-1976 knife, the blade script signed “Hand Made by James B. Lile”. The 3-1/4" blade with original edge – there are very light marks on the blade that run tip to handle. I’m not sure if this was from Jimmy going for the coarse “hand sanded” look, or if someone buffed up the blade with some steel wool or something. If I were a betting man, I’d venture it’s from Jimmy. That said, I don’t know what I don’t know... I’m just going on gut and experience. Other than that, a few handling marks, etc. on the frame that don't amount to much. Great knife, the wood inserts are quite pretty.

The knife is paired with a leather belt sheath made by Jim Buffaloe. Rare in it’s own right (Jim Buffaloe made the First Blood sheaths), this sheath has the Buffaloe stamp on the back and is in excellent condition with just a few small scuffs.

7 photos for review -- as shown, a new black canvas carry case is included. If you've been looking for a few very collectible Lile knives for investment purposes, this and any other of Jimmy's pieces I have listed would be great knives to buy and tuck away. Thanks and good luck.
