Summary: this is an early boot knife made in the Lile shop but not by Jimmy, a knife Jimmy felt was good enough to endorse with the "Made In Lile Shop" engraving. I don't know who made it, but I'll be checking with former Lile employee Stephen Lynn in the next few days to see if he remembers anything about the knife.

This knife has a 5" blade, overall length is 9-3/8". The script engraving on the blade reads "Made In Lile Shop", this knife was probably made in the early 70's. The blade has the original edges and blade finish, whoever made it certainly knew what the hell he was doing. The brass hardware (hilt / spacer / butt cap) all have some tarnish and light handling marks, there are a couple of light scratches on the wood that are visible in my photos. No use whatsoever, it's been tucked away for the past 4+ decades and has rarely seen the light of day.

The knife comes with a custom leather sheath made by Alessi Holsters in Buffalo, N.Y. The knife / sheath fit is perfect, it was made for the knife and has not been on a belt. Overall condition of the sheath is excellent but by no means perfect, you'll find handling marks and scuffs on both sides.

7 photos for review – no carry case shown but rest assured I'll include one and pack the knife properly. This is an exceptionally rare knife most likely made by a Lile shop employee, very few knives were engraved this way as Jimmy's endorsement didn't come easily. I've seen one other knife with the "Made In Lile Shop" engraving, it and this one for sale are the only two "Made In Lile Shop" engraved knives I've ever seen. Awesome piece perfect for any knife collection, a must have for any Lile collector. Thanks and good luck.
