Summary: this is a brand new model C1 "Backpacker" made by Bill Sanders. Bill was one of the original 3 guys who worked at Timberline Knives way back in the 1980's, he makes a few knives now and then and his work is impeccable. This knife has a 3-1/8" blade (measures 3-5/8" from tip to black micarta scale), same as a survival backpacker but without the roughing saw. Finished with pinned black micarta scales and stainless steel bolts, an extended tang with thong hole at the back end. Overall length is 7-1/4". Bill's trademark is on the front, the back ricasso with the model and serial number. This knife has not been used, original edge and in mint condition.
The knife is paired with the original belt / pouch sheath, near mint condition with just a small scuff or two.
8 photos for review – as shown, a new black canvas carry case is included. This is a great blade for everyday carry, a beautiful all around knife perfect for the backpacker, hiker, cyclist, hunter or fisherman. Thanks and good luck.
