Summary: a gorgeous Arkansas Toothpick made by the late Ed Kalfayan. This one’s decked out with a 10” mirror polished blade, polished guard and pommel (probably stainless), and very nice looking Elephant ivory handle. Original blade edges, the blade is pretty much clean. There are light handling marks to be found on the guard and pommel if you turn the knife in direct light, all could be removed in two minutes if you have access to a buffer. Very simple, very quick. The handle is ivory, a big ol’ chunk of it at that. Light checks only, no major (open) cracks.
The sheath appears original to the knife and is stamped 8 02 on the back belt loop. Could be the month and date of manufacture, just guessing so don’t quote me. The sheath has throat rivets and some front side tooling... very well made. Overall excellent condition, nothing more than a few handling marks on both sides.
9 photos for review – as shown, a green canvas carry case is included. This is a giveaway on such a beautiful knife with ivory handle... Ed Kalfayan made some amazing knives in his day. Someone needs to jump on this before the next guy in line gets it, check it out and make it yours. Thanks and good luck.
