Summary: this is a 1980's Timberline SH Survival Hunter, serial #002 . These Survival Hunters are everything you could ever want or need in a survival situation, the handle slabs are held in place with screws and you'll find survival items stored on the underside of each micarta slab. The handle removal tool is stored next to the sparking flint -- someone with reasonable survival skills can have a fire burning in short order.

This knife is in excellent unused condition, blade is perfect with original edge. You'll find a couple of light scuffs / scratches on the screws, very light and only mentioned for accuracy. The hollowed out micarta slabs look new, the survival gear still stowed away inside the scales.

The original sheath is MIA (aka missing in action aka lost), Jim Behring made a pouch sheath for the knife and I'm also including a brand new Neeley SH pouch sheath. Both sheaths fit the knife perfectly, the sparking flint and scale removal tool stored neatly away on the Neeley sheath. Both sheaths are new, neither has been carried.

9 photos for review – as shown, a new black canvas carry case is included. These are compact, functional knives -- perfect for everyday carry, camping, backpacking, etc. A great price on this remarkably low numbered 35 year old year old Timberline SH, with the original sheath I'd be pricing it a couple of hundred higher. Great find, don't miss out. Thanks and good luck.
Note: I didn't remove the scales on this knife, but if you want to see how the survival gear is stowed you can check out this Timberline Survival Knife I sold awhile back.
