Summary: this is a vintage Timberline Survival Companion and original belt / pouch sheath. Serial #228SC on the back side blade flat, Timberline logo on the front. The sharpened edge measures 3", tip to early Westinghouse micarta scales is 3-5/8". The knife was made with pinned micarta scales (perfect condition), an integral lanyard hole on the exposed tang. One scale embellished with a large rack buck – done in 1989 and signed by a scrimshander I'm not familiar with. The knife has never been used and has the original edges, easily excellent+++ to near mint condition. You'll find a few light handling marks on the pins, other than those the knife looks perfect.
The black belt / pouch sheath is original to the knife and has the Timberline stamp on the back belt loop. Sparking flint in the circular holder, the sheath is in excellent+++ condition with nothing but a few light handling marks.
7 photos for review – as shown, a new black canvas carry case is included. This embellished Timberline Survival Companion is simply awesome, perfect for the hunter who collections Timberline knives. It's a great knife perfect for use or collection purposes, I can guarantee you won't find another quite like it. Thanks and good luck.
