Randall #1-7 "Fighting Knife"
7" Tool Steel Blade
Double Brass Guard
Stacked Leather Handle
Duralumin Butt Cap / Steel Nut
Brown Button Riveted Heiser Sheath
Unused Gray Sharpening Stone
New Black Canvas Case
Summary: this is an older Randall model 1 outfitted as follows: 7" tool steel blade, double brass guard, 5 spacers, stacked leather handle and duralumin butt cap with steel nut. The knife has been used, the blade buffed up with some areas of visible pitting. There are some dings in the leather and on the dura cap, the nut has not been turned or messed with. Overall excellent condition and what I'd grade as a 7 or so on a scale of 1 to 10.
The brown button Heiser roughback sheath is in excellent but modified condition. I posted photos of this sheath on the RMK forum with the general consensus being that the throat rivets were most likely added by one of the previous owners. There is also a snap on the back belt loop and hole in the toe that are not original and done by a previous owner. The sheath is stamped 1-7 below the Randall trademark on the back belt loop. The sheath shows some handling and knife storage marks, nothing I’d consider major. The snaps function properly, an unused solid gray stone is in the front pouch. (probably a replacement but I just can’t say for sure)
9 photos for review -- as shown, a black canvas case is included. This is a good buy on this older Randall #1-7 and would be a very nice addition to most any fighting knife collection. Thanks and good luck.
