Summary: this is a 1960 or so Randall model 1 outfitted as follows: 7" tool steel blade, double brass guard, 5 spacers, stacked leather handle and duralumin butt cap with nut. Used sparingly if at all, the blade buffed up a bit with some type of spotting in / on the finish. (see photo 8) Light tarnish / patina on the guard, a few handling marks on the dura butt. This is one that would do well with a “shop done” spa treatment, for about $100 round trip I’m sure they could clean up this knife and have it looking nearly new.

The brown button Heiser sheath is in excellent condition with no significant blemishes. You will find handling and carry marks on both sides, all relatively minor considering the age. The snaps function properly, all the stitching is solid with no fraying. The sheath is stamped 1-7 below the Randall trademark on the back belt loop, an unused blue print Norton “box” stone in the front pouch.

8 photos for review -- as shown, a new embroidered RMK carry case is included. This is a good buy on this older Randall #1-7 and would be a very nice addition to most any fighting knife collection, on a good day the stone alone is worth close to a couple of hundred dollars. If I were to buy it I’d send it in to the shop and let them work their magic, in my opinion a no brainer. Thanks and good luck.
