Summary: this is an older Randall 12-8 Bear Bowie with tool steel blade, forward curving nickel silver hilt, and commando shaped black micarta handle. The knife is in excellent condition, I assume it's been back to the RMK shop at some point – the trademark is a bit light on one side and the blade is pretty much perfect. I cleaned some tarnish from the guard, a few light wipe marks as a result that will buff away quickly if so desired. No dings / dents / scratches on the micarta handle, looks new.
The Johnson roughback sheath is also in excellent condition -- all stitching tight and the snaps work perfectly. It was dyed black at some point in the past (obviously), if you're handy and have some black shoe polish around you could have this looking perfect in short order. The plain salmon stone is unused, a bit of discoloration but no biggie.
6 photos for review -- as shown, a new embroidered Randall Made Knives carry case is included. If you're thinking "damn, that's a reasonable price on for an old12-8"... it's is, and don't pass it up. This knife is in great shape and probably won't last long, so pony up and add it to your collection before someone else adds it to theirs. Thanks and good luck.
