Summary: this is a nice old ivory handled model 1-7 with a stainless steel blade, double brass guard and radiused brass butt cap. The stainless steel blade is in beautiful shape, lightly and correctly sharpened. The brass hardware with tarnish / patina, looks damned nice so I opted not to clean it off. The elephant ivory handle with great color, cracked like so many of them do on the front (logo) side from front to rear spacers. So said, still a great and very collectible knife.
The Johnson roughback sheath is a beauty, this one marked 7 on the back with an unused plain salmon sharpening stone in the front pouch. You’ll find a bit of darkness at the throat and on the keeper strap from past knife storage, not much. One look at the photos will tell you that the sheath is in awesome shape and a total compliment to the knife, outstanding condition with just a few light handling marks.
7 photos for review – as shown, a new embroidered Randall carry case is included. This would be a great knife to buy and tuck away, at this price it’s a “win-win” addition to your knife collection. Thanks and good luck.
