Summary: a fantastic looking, large skinner with Ruana-style blade grind made by Jim Behring. Jim called this a “Nesmonk” grind, whatever the name I can clearly see the early Ruana skinner blade shape influence.

What you see is what you get with this one: one bad ass, razor sharp knife for all your medium to large hunting / skinning needs. Check it out... one of a kind package in mint condition! Thanks and good luck.

Here’s what Jim said about this beauty:

“This Nesmonk is one of my favorites and it’s a beast of a knife. Razor sharp to the point where it will cut you if your not real careful. The hand forged blade is 5-1/2" long and a wide 2” at the sharpened top clip. 1-5/8" wide at the front of the guard. Hollow ground 1/4” Studebaker steel with hammer marks. Deep anvil stamp and date stamp USA 2019 on the back side. Guard is brass and silver soldered. Hidden tang is extra beefy and runs almost to the end of the pinned stag butt, finished with a thick fitted musk ox butt cap that’ll never come loose. Handle is stacked horse hide and a multitude of custom cut spacers that make a one of a kind pattern. OAL is about 11". The sheath is bad ass with a Beaver Tail inlay and brass rivets with a leg / pack tie down. This knife is a real cool piece of old school working art.”
