Description
Summary: probably one of the nicest early JB, Jr. / Behring Made Southwest Bowie’s made to date. The knife is one made by James shortly after arriving in Montana, probably first year as it has both the BMK and J. Behring Jr. stamps. Fitted with a large copper S-guard and smaller secondary copper guard, the look is truly outstanding. An exceptional piece of fossil on this one, the cost on this material has simply gone through the roof lately Overall length is a hair over 13”, condition unused with only light patina on the copper hardware.
The custom Mosher riveted sheath is a work of art all on its own, awesome floral tooling front side that wraps over the belt loop. Hell, even the keeper strap has tooling! Condition is near mint, just a couple of light handling scuffs on the back.
8 photos for review – as shown, an embroidered BMK carry case is included. This is a kick ass SW bowie fit for a King or Queen, top drawer collectors piece all the way. Thanks and good luck.
