Description

Summary: a previously owned but unused “Woodmonk” hunting knife made by James Behring, Jr. when he was still working for his dad in Michigan. This is a beautiful skinner with nickel silver guard, sweet looking spacer stack and great looking curved stag handle with lanyard. The knife feels great in either hand, OAL is a hair over 10”. The knife is in excellent+++ or better condition with just a few whisper light insertion marks only visible in direct light.

The knife comes with the original riveted pouch sheath made by Jack Mosher. Basket weave tooling front and back, knife / sheath fit is perfect. Never on a belt, near mint with a smidgen of verdigris on the back side rivets.

8 photos for review – as shown, a new black canvas carry case is included. This is an awesome mid-size skinner perfect for use or collection purposes, lightweight enough that you’ll probably forget it’s on your hip. One of a few early Michigan-made JR. knives I have for sale, they’re all very attractively priced. Thanks and good luck.
