Description

Summary: a really nice camp knife made by Jim Behring in 2021. This one’s a bargain, typically Jim’s camp knives sell for right around $100 per blade inch.

This knife has an 8-1/2” blade made from 3/16” stock, overall length is a very healthy 14-3/4”. Jim made this knife with a large nickel silver guard and long spacer stack, fitted it with a knobby piece of crown stag with a silver pin. Simply awesome and of course.. finished to perfection. Excellent+++ to near mint, you’ll find nothing but a couple of very light insertion marks on the blade only visible in direct light.

The riveted sheath with shark skin front panel was also made right there at the Treeman shop. A loop on the back for a thigh lanyard, the knife / sheath fit is perfect. A few small scuffs here and there from light handling, easily excellent+++ or better.

7 photos for review – as shown, a large and colorful carry case but all I have that’ll fit this beast! The photos tell the story but the knife is better in person, priced very fairly for what you’re getting. This crown stag butt is pretty damned nice, don’t overlook the cool blade grind on this one. Thanks and good luck.
