Description

Note: this comes with the carry case shown in the COA and not the plain black case shown in the first few photos.

Summary: this is a fabulous skinner made by James Behring, Jr. This is an early Michigan-made skinner made by James pre-2011 (see COA) before he packed up his bags and headed to MT. to start up “Behring Made Knives”. It’s a hammer-marked 4-1/4” Studebaker leaf spring steel skinner with large brass guard and killer stag with compass, OAL is 8-3/4”. The knife is in mint condition and has been tucked away since new.

The knife is paired to a riveted leather sheath made by Jack Mosher. Front side tooling with MOSHER and J. Behring Handmade stamps on the back, the sheath is in excellent+++ or better condition.

11 photos for review – as shown, the James Behring, Jr. carry case shown on the C.O.A. photo is included. This is a great piece perfect for collection / investment purposes, these early Behring, JR. knives are hard to find… the C.O.A. should just seal the deal. Thanks and good luck.
