Jimmy Lile Steak Knives / PUD 1972
Personal Gift from Jimmy to Marilyn
Early Script Blades w/ Tine Handles
Here's one set I can comfortably say you're not going to see anywhere else. This is a set of 6 steak knives with antler handles made by Jimmy and given to Marilyn as a gift.
Jimmy Lile Council Oaks Commemorative
Unused / #1 of 25 Dardanelle Bowie Knife
5-1/2" Blade / Gold Leaf Acid Etched by
Admittedly, I knew nothing about this particular Council Oaks Bowie knife before reading about it in the Lile book. This much I know: it's rare and only 25 of these were made.
Jimmy Lile 9" "Sly II" Survival Knife
9" Blade / No Dot / Lugged Guard
Black Cord Wrap / Butt + Compass
Unused but resharpened (it’s wicked sharp!), an excellent example of an early model (mid 80's) Sly II survival knife. The bead blasted blade finish is excellent+++
This is an original "Rambo – The Mission" movie knife made before Jimmy passed away. (no dot) Razor sharp and looks to have been carefully and correctly sharpened
This is a 1-only leather tool made for the Lile's first sheath maker, John Lamb. Overall length of the tool is about 7-1/2" -- the blade is quite sharp. The notes on the tag attached to the handle were written by Marilyn. (see photos) Made in 1977.
Jimmy Lile Knife / All Steel "Poker"
2-7/8" Edge - 7-5/8" Overall Length
Lile Stamp / No Dot / Pancake-Style
This is an custom all steel semi-skinner Trout & Bird knife (also referred to as a poker) made by Jimmy Lile.
This is a terrific looking, unused fillet knife made by Jimmy Lile. It's an early one with the rare shorter (less than 9") blade length, script signed "Hand Made by James B. Lile". This knife has a single brass hilt and fingered stag handle, overall length is 12".
Jimmy Lile Fillet Knife / SFG Stag
9-1/8" Script Signed Blade / Brass
Guard / Single Finger Grip Stag
This is a terrific looking, unused fillet knife made by Jimmy Lile. It is an early knife with a long 9-1/8" blade, script signed "Hand Made by James B. Lile – For Bill Vick". This knife has a single brass hilt and single finger grip stag handle, overall length is approximately 14-1/8".
Jimmy Lile Knife / Stag / Model 23?
4-1/2" Script Signed Tool Steel Blade
Reduced Brass Hilt / Light Colored
A rare little bird, I think it's a version of the model 23 but I'm not certain. This knife has a 4-1/2" tool steel blade, reduced brass guard (neat!), and light colored stag handle.
This an unused script signed Lile Regular 7 with light colored wood handle. An early 1970's knife -- the blade is script signed "Hand Made by James B. Lile". The overall length of the knife is 8-5/8".
Lile Knife "Regular 7" / Script Signed
4" Blade / Brass Hilt / Black Micarta
Sterile Ambidextrous Belt Sheath
A great knife for the Lile collector who might be looking for a beauty to use, this is an unused script signed Lile Regular 7 in damn near perfect condition but for a piece of micarta missing at the top of one of the black micarta scales.
Jimmy Lile Regular 7 / Script Signed
4" D2 Steel / Single Brass Hilt & Pins
Canvas Micarta Scales / Thong Hole
Another early, unused Lile Regular 7 with script signature and canvas micarta scales. An early 1970's knife (if not very late 1960's)
A very early unused Jimmy Lile paring / utility knife with the single line / single word "Lile" script signature. The knife probably dates to the late 60's, very early in Jimmy's career. The blade is 3-1/8" long -- overall length of the knife is 7-1/8".
A couple of small Lile utility knives, one LILE stamped with black micarta and one Lile script knife with wood scales
