Description

Summary: a previously owned but unused heavy duty “Alaskan” skinner made by James Behring of Behring Made up in Montana. The original description he wrote when the knife originally sold back on 12/23/2012 is typed below, I have a photocopy of his website description and will send it with the knife. The knife has been tucked away with the original owner for the last 7 years and is in near mint condition with just the lightest of insertion marks that are really only visible if you turn the blade in direct light. Mentioned only for accuracy... this knife is fabulous. Without further ado...

From the maker:

“This Behring Made Alaskan is truly one of a kind. It has a hand forged 5” blade that sharpened up like a razor. The large choil and the high spine make for a perfect grip when choking up on the blade. The guard is nickel silver with black, maroon, green micarta, white and brass spacers. The Sambar stag grip is solid like stone and really fills the hand. It’s solid, shaped perfectly and fits in to either hand comfortably. It comes in a Mosher made dark brown pouch sheath. Thanks, James”

8 photos for review – as shown, a new Behring Handmade carry case is included. I’m not sure what this sold for back in 2012 but I can almost guarantee you it was a good bit more than my asking. One of 5 of Jr’s knives I have for sale, they’re all very attractively priced. Thanks and good luck.
