Description
Summary: brand new, this is a custom 2nd Prototype Utility Drop Point made by Rob Bayley. Leather COA with “20 29” on it, this was the 29th knife Rob made last year. This Prototype knife has a 4-5/8” S90V blade (unusual for a Bayley!) with jimped spine, stainless guard and black G10 handle with orange liners. A gorgeous looking custom Bayley knife, mint condition with an O.A.L. of 9-1/8”.
Rob went a couple of extra miles on the sheath and matched the stitching to the orange tang liners. How f-ing cool is that! Mint condition, one of the neatest Bayley sheaths I’ve seen.
9 photos for review – as shown, a new black canvas carry case is included. Information on the model all listed in the attached and included letter from Rob, this is an awesome knife perfect for collection / investment purposes. A very rare find... thanks and good luck.
From the maker:
“The knife is a 2nd Prototype while developing a Utility drop point blade shape based on my Raven knife concept in 2020 and I initially held this one back in an unused condition as an heirloom model This particular Utility Drop Point knife features a high performance S90V powder steel blade for extreme edge retention. In use, I would recommend the use of a diamond sharpening stone with this steel. The handle has my Inter-bond G10 liners and the sheath has matching burnt orange line stitching to round off the package.”
