Description

Summary: tucked away for the better part of 14 years, this is a deer knife Jim made back in 2006. Jim signed the guard with an engraver, also dated the back side. (Nov 15, 2006...see photos) Paired with the original “era” sheath (back when Jack Mosher was doing leather for Jim and James), quite the collectible pairing.

Specs: 4” 01 tool steel blade, signed and dated brass guard, fiber/metal spacer stack and very pretty pinned stag butt with compass. Easily near mint, I saw one tiny little mark on the front side of the blade at the tip but didn’t catch it until I turned the blade under direct light. The high ride Mosher sheath with clip on the back is in excellent+++ condition with just a few light handling marks front and back.

9 photos for review – as shown, a vintage J. Behring Handmade carry case is included. This is a sweet little knife Jim made for himself back in 2006 for deer season, one you can use a few years and still get your money out of due to the signed and engraved guard. Check it out... it’s a great knife / sheath pairing. Thanks and good luck.
