Description

Summary: a fantastic looking, large skinner with Ruana-style blade grind made by Jim Behring. Jim called this a “Nesmonk” grind, whatever the name I can clearly see the early Ruana skinner blade shape influence.

What you see is what you get with this one: one bad ass, razor sharp knife for all your medium to large hunting / skinning needs. Check it out... one of a kind package in mint condition! Thanks and good luck.

Here’s what Jim said about this beauty:

“This Nesmonk is one of my favorites and it’s a beast of a knife. Razor sharp to the point where it will cut you if your not real careful. It Got Me! The hand forged blade is 5 3/4" long and an extra wide 2-1/4", the top clip is sharp. 1-7/8" wide at the front of the guard. Hollow ground with hammer marks. Deep anvil stamp and date stamp USA 2018 on the back side. Blade steel is premium 1095 and a full .250 thick. Guard is nickel silver and silver soldered. Hidden tang is extra beefy and runs almost to the end of the pinned crown stag butt. This old mule deer crown is about as nice as they come with two big burs on the right side of the crown. Handle is stacked horse hide and a multitude of custom cut spacers that make a one of a kind pattern. OAL is about 11 3/8", weight is just under a pound. The sheath is bad ass with a American Buffalo Inlay and stainless steel rivets with a leg / pack tie down. This knife is a real cool piece of old school working art.”
