Fingered Black Micarta
Last SOG prototype I own
This is the last SOG prototype I own. These pre-production designs were sent to the late Tom Clinton for review -- Tom looked at slightly different blade grinds, guard shapes and handle material / configurations before making a final decision on his knives. This knife is fitted with a double brass guard, fingered black micarta handle -

Lile Fighting Knives
1-Only Pair w/ Pinched Tubes
Hollow Handles & Aluminum Butt Caps
Gorgeous and beyond rare... this is a matching pair of pinched tube fighters. The stiletto has a 7" blade -- the fighter has a 6-3/4" blade. The grind lines on both knives are course and absolutely gorgeous -- both blades have the "Hand Made by James B. Lile" script signature. The knives are fitted with stainless hilts, "pinched" hollow handles, and threaded aluminum butt caps. -
Lile Fighting Knife
1960's
Black Micarta
A very early Lile Fighting / Combat Knife as evidenced by the "James B. Lile" single line script signature. Awesome grind -- the blade is 7" long. The knife has a double brass fighting hilt, black micarta handle, and a brass butt cap. -
Lile Fighting Knife
1970
Black Micarta
Another rare example of an early Lile Fighting / Combat Knife. The blade is D2 and 6" long. Curving brass hilt with long lower quillion reminiscent of days gone by. Black micarta handle and a brass butt cap -- notes on the attached tag by Marilyn Lile. -
Lile Fighting Knife
1968
Brown Micarta
A very nice example of an early Lile Fighting / Combat Knife. The blade is D2 and 6-3/4" long. Brass hilt, brass butt cap on both ends of what appears to be a brown micarta handle. -
Lile Stiletto
Theater Knife -- 1960's
Vietnam Era
This is a one of a kind Vietnam Era Lile Theater knife. The knife has a 7" double edged blade, double brass hilt, commando shaped handle and brass butt cap. The handle is comprised of leather and aluminum washers -- totally cool and very much like the old pieces carried in WWII and Vietnam. The blade has a very unique "Made by James B. Lile" script signature -- this is the first blade I've seen with this particular engraving. Note the serial number -- this is one of Jimmy's very early pieces. -
Lile Stiletto
Theater Knife -- Aluminum Handle
Vietnam Era
This is another Vietnam Era Lile Theater knife. This unique stiletto has a 8" blade, double brass hilt, and 5" pinned aluminum handle. The blade is script signed "Hand Made by James B. Lile". A thin, theater-style sheath accompanies the knife -- this is a very cool combination and very likely one of a kind. -
Lile Fighting Knife
1971-72
Beautiful Stag
This is a Lile Fighting / Combat Knife made in 1971-72. The blade is 7" long and script signed -- the upper clip is sharpened back approx. 3-1/4". The knife is fitted with a double brass hilt, brass pins and stag slabs. The knife is paired with it's original sheath made by John Lamb. -
Lile Fighting Knives
Pair
Stag & Micarta
This is a really cool pair of Lile fighting knives. They have similar blade grinds -- the black micarta handled knife has a 5-3/4" blade, and the stag handled knife has a 5-1/2" blade. The knives are fitted with brass hilts and pins -- both have the "Hand Made by James B. Lile" script signature.
